Jessica Kroos Jokes About Toni Kroos’ Possible Move to Saudi Arabia

Jessica Kroos, the wife of Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, has joked about her husband’s possible move to Saudi Arabia.

“In Saudi Arabia, you’ve already made a lot of friends there. They won’t even take you as a gift anymore. I don’t think any more offers will come in,” joked Jessica Kroos in the podcast Just Luppen.

Toni Kroos had recently criticized transfers of younger players to Saudi Arabia.

“If Cristiano Ronaldo or Karim Benzema, who have won everything and have legendary status, go there at the end of their careers – that’s fine by me,” said the 2014 world champion and explained: “What I have a problem with is more the 26- , 27, 28-year-olds who have absolute top quality, play in top clubs in Europe and have the chance in the next three or four years to achieve what others have already achieved who are going there. For me, that’s simply not a good role model and a danger for football in the future.”

Kroos himself will not play for any other club other than Real in his career.

In June, the 33-year-old extended his contract in Madrid for another year until 2024. It is currently still unclear whether Kroos will retire next summer.
