The Israeli army has announced that it has ended the encirclement of Gaza City in the Gaza Strip, reported AFP.
This comes a week after the start of ground operations by Israeli forces in the Palestinian territory.
“Our military has completed the encirclement of Gaza City, the center of the terrorist organization Hamas,” Israeli forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said.
The military spokesman also added that “the notion of a ceasefire is not on the table”.
The concept of “ceasefire” is not discussed. The Israel Defense Forces are waging a war to destroy Hamas, the spokesperson emphasized in response to a journalistic question in this regard.
The spokesman of the Israeli army also stated that it “eliminated” 130 terrorists in the Gaza Strip today, DPA reported.
At the same time, the military wing of “Hamas” declared that Gaza will be a curse for Israel, reported France Press.
“Gaza will be a curse for Israel. Israelis should expect more returns of their military in black sacks,” said the spokesman for the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades./BTA
