Russia has the necessary military-technical potential to prepare to repel all US nuclear forces. The Russian Ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, spoke about this.
“We do not look at the intentions of the United States of America, we look at the combat capabilities of the nuclear deterrent forces… We will look for compensating potential against the entire sum of US carriers and warheads,” Channel One reports Antonov’s words.
According to Antonov, Russia is assessing American nuclear weapons. He added that the Russian Federation is ready to replenish its nuclear deterrent arsenal.
US intelligence representatives also named Russian nuclear potential the most powerful in the world. In their opinion, the Russian Federation continues to expand and modernize its nuclear weapons.
Earlier, the United States conducted underground tests at a nuclear test site in Nevada on the day the Russian State Duma adopted a law revoking ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT). Later, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Russian side continues to check the facts in connection with the recent US tests at the Nevada test site, reports RT.
