Mária Chreneková (39), the presenter of the television newspaper in Marquesas, communicates with the media minimally. Thanks to the position she gained alongside her husband, she could easily hang up her television career, but according to her, she enjoys moderating very much and commutes regularly between Prague and Bratislava for work. She revealed more in an exclusive interview for her home television.
“I don’t like to talk about myself. I’m not used to it,” she said in an interview for the website markiza.sk . She recalled how she was approached in 2012 to come to the casting call in Markíza for the position of news presenter. “I went there with a little soul and I’m glad that it finally worked out. Although, I was very afraid of that step, I considered it a lot, everyone scared me that there would be incredible rivalry, it would be difficult… But I like Markíza, my work and I have great colleagues.”

Mária Chreneková Pietrová originally did not want to be a presenter at all. She got to the job of presenter at the age of seventeen, according to her own words, completely by accident, when her friend arranged a casting on television and they took her. “I was in high school at the time.” As a twenty-three-year-old, she sat in the chair of the sports newsroom on public television. He owes his great figure to various sports activities. From the age of three, she went to gymnastics, practiced kickboxing, Brazilian capoeira, played tennis and regularly trained in the gym. She also tried modeling when she posed in underwear and swimwear for a men’s magazine.

Mária Chreneková Pietrová comes from a well-known artistic family. She is the granddaughter of the famous Slovak director and teacher Miloš Pietor, her father, Miloš Pietor Jr., is a successful stage designer, architect and interior designer. She remembered going to the movies with her father as a child.
“Those were the most beautiful days for me, when I could sit somewhere in silence, on a movie set or in the theater, that was my world.” Despite this, she was not attracted to acting, she studied film production and management at VŠMU. “I don’t know if I have a talent for acting, I’ve never tried it. Being an actor, actress is very demanding. One of the reasons I don’t give interviews is because I’m a huge introvert. And that is not compatible with me going to acting. Production is not that artistically creative, and I also like to keep my feet on the ground,” he says in an interview with Markíza.

He lives in a castle
Mária lives with her husband and in-laws in the luxurious Koloděje castle in the Czech Republic. When he is in Bratislava, he lives in his apartment in Ružinov. In the interview, she confirmed that commuting is difficult and tiring. “When I work for three or four days, then I stay in Bratislava. I never enjoyed popularity. Nobody in Prague knows where I work, who I am, what I am.”
As the Czech website writes aktualne.cz the former government castle was bought by Mária’s father-in-law Tomáš Chrenek (60) in 2010 for 233 million Czech crowns and is not open to the public. The castle shines with newness, there is no lack of servants, and it includes a huge garden, a nature reserve, a forest park with a pond, which reaches an area of several thousand square meters. “The Chrenekov couple with their children and their families live in the main palace, each of them is said to have a separate entrance,” the weekly stated in an article from 2013 Plus 7 days.
