On Sunday, October 29, the municipality of González ‘dressed in red’ with the victory of Katherine Mora Rosado, of the Liberal party, in the elections for Municipal Mayor.

The lawyer obtained 1,905 votes, that is, 50.41% of the votes, leaving in second place the former Secretary of Agriculture of the department, José Emilio Osorio, of the Conservative party, who obtained 1,854 supports.
SECOND TERM
Mora had already held this position in 2013, when atypical elections were held after a second instance ruling, issued by the Administrative Court of Cesar, declared the annulment of the election of José Emilio Osorio Rocha, due to inability in the degree of affinity.

At that time, the delegate of the National Registry, Tirso Cabello Gutiérrez, assured that with that
day there were 17 atypical elections after the local authority elections of October 30,
2011.
