It originally ran until 6 a.m., but it was extended for the full day on Thursday. Neighboring departments (Eure, Yvelines, Orne) are also affected.
During the night, heavy rain and gusts locally reaching 110 km/h are expected.
Winds expected between 90 and 100 km/h in Eure-et-Loir between Wednesday and Thursday
As a precaution, parks, gardens and squares are closed from this Wednesday in Chartres, Châteaudun or Dreux. All TER trains in the Centre-Val de Loire region will also be stopped this Thursday.

The prefecture of Eure-et-Loir, in a press release, announces “showers, up to 10 mm cumulative in the south and west of the department”, and predicts, for the day of Thursday, November 2, that the “Southwest wind still remains violent until mid-afternoon. The rains ease in the morning, but should persist until the afternoon.”

Furthermore, the Eure-et-Loir prefecture has decided on traffic restrictions from 10 p.m. this Wednesday: on the national roads and motorways of Eure-et-Loir, vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tonnes , including public transport, motorhomes and light towed vehicles, are not authorized to overtake, and their authorized speed is lowered by 20 km/h.
