Graz (November 1, 2023).- State Governor Christopher Drexler and deputy governor Anton Lang appeal for a peaceful encounter between the city rivals in the run-up to the Graz Cup derby.
“We belong to different parties and keep our fingers crossed for the other Graz football club. The ‘Black’ is for the ‘Reds’ and the ‘Red’ is for the ‘Blacks’. But our focus is always on Styria. We work together for our country. That is also our appeal for the Graz Cup derby: Let us put what unites us before what divides us and let us experience a beautiful, emotional but peaceful football game,” said State Governor Christopher Drexler and Deputy State Governor Anton Lang, who are responsible for the emergency organizations – especially the Reds Kreuz and the police – for their work to ensure security around the football game.
