Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Sandy Walsh said hilarious words to Indonesian national team fans when telling about the condition of his right leg which was injured and bleeding during the match. Sandy Walsh said someone could send him bubble wrap to keep his feet safe.
The KV Mechelen player shared the news of his injury via social media Instagram, Tuesday (31/10). Sandy also shared photos of his action in the Belgian League match which made his feet bleed.
“At least this isn’t my face. Go back to the field as soon as the stitches are finished. Can someone send me some bubble wrap?” Sandy wrote, peppered with strong emoticons.
The wing-back player who can also act as a midfielder suffered an injury when Mechelen met Cercle Brugge in the Belgian League, Saturday (28/10). In this match Mechelen lost 0-2.
Next, Mechelen will face Knokke on Wednesday (1/11), then Standard Liege on Sunday (5/11) and Charleroi on 12 November. After that there is a FIFA Matchday break.
In this international calendar, the Indonesian national team will have two 2026 World Cup qualifying matches. The opponents that Indonesia will face are Iraq (16/11) and the Philippines (21/11).

Sandy is expected to appear in these two matches. However, it all depends on Sandy’s condition in the club’s three matches. If he can appear in one of these matches, Sandy has the opportunity to strengthen the Indonesian national team.
Sandy’s role is quite vital, because on the previous FIFA Matchday, against Brunei, this 28 year old player was plotted as a midfielder for the simulation against Iraq.
