VISIT TONIGHT: They will come to your house soon. Did you forget the candy? Or are you just a curmudgeon or a stingy junkie? Here you have the advice to help. Photo: Stian Lysberg Solum / NTB
When the little devils call, there is a rule that applies.

Just wait: Greasy, chubby fingers are knocking on your door today. The kids think they have a right to dig into your small treat bowl.
“Trick or trick” they say menacingly, while you are in the middle of episode two of “Makta”.
They’re going to take all the caramel fudge with sea salt. Back in the bowl is the soda powder that sprinkles down like flakes from the corners of their mouths.

My tip: Answer “trick” this time.
Because the spoiled kids don’t know what that is. I have from a reliable source (8 years old) that for a long time it has been said “trick or treat”.
Hahaha! PLAY!
Just as the kids worship the god of money at Christmas, they haven’t understood Halloween either.
They don’t know that they are supposed to eat candy. They have no idea that whoever chooses a trick according to regulations will be met with strong reactions.

So you don’t have to be afraid to answer “trick”. The facade of the house does not get soiled with play blood and the cat does not get scratching powder.
The costumed little ghosts who arrive have not prepared good tricks.
Halloween has of course also become woke, according to the antiwoke, who mean different costumes will be cancelled.
It is a matter for Subject. But the kids aren’t the only ones who have changed Halloween.
Are you going to celebrate Halloween today?
The adults who otherwise act like pure pagans at Christmas have long mixed Halloween with carnival.
People will dress up as Jonas Gahr Støre, influencer or Barbie. On TikTok, I see numerous examples of people being more concerned with their boobs than scaring people.

Carnival is what you celebrate in February or March. The last day in October, on the other hand, is Halloween, All Hallow’s Eve, which is the day before All Hallow’s … Yes, you can look it up yourself.
It is something pagan and Celtic that became a little Mexican and Catholic and Americanized and re-imported to Europe.
In short: It’s not that strict. Everyone needs a party in October, before the real desire to dismember partners takes over.
A PAGAN AND CHRISTIAN TRADITION: Around 20 years ago, Halloween came to Norway in full. It was, among other things, about popular cinema films that put the celebration on the agenda, together of course with a benevolent trade stand. Anyone who thinks there is a pure and original “Norwegian” tradition is wrong. Everything is mixed. This is cultural appropriation, and we should be for that.
Most Norwegians have dropped tricks, in the same way that we have long since dropped fasting after Fat Tuesday.
And in reality, Halloween is also much nicer if people aren’t horrible to each other. In past times in other countries, it has been rumored that Halloween could degenerate into conditions too dreary for Swedish gangster rap.
There is movement here. 20 years ago had to a Norwegian toy chain withdraw bloody plastic knuckles, because it was too macabre.
This year I have bought edible finger stumps from Rema.
But some try to take the traditions seriously in Norway as well.
For Halloween 15 years ago, three eight-year-olds called a grumpy lady in Alta, according to Altaposten. The woman gave, according to NRK, boiled fish to the children.
Good trick, that.
But it is the children who will play tricks tonight.
