Bahrain General Index Sees Decrease in Luxury Consumer Goods, Financial, and Basic Materials Sectors

The Bahrain General Index closed today, Tuesday, at the level of 1,929.26, a decrease of 1.89 points from the previous closing rate, due to a decline in the index of the luxury consumer goods sector, the financial sector, and the basic materials sector, while the Bahrain Islamic Index closed at the level of 720.03, an increase of 4.16 points from the average. Its previous closure.

The number of shares traded today amounted to 1,262,603 ​​shares, with a total value of 461,389 Bahraini dinars, which were executed through 46 transactions.

Investors’ activity in trading focused on shares of the luxury consumer goods sector, as the value of its traded shares amounted to 43.40% of the total value of securities traded.
