But the fans will not only be treated to top-class football; for the first time there will also be a typical NFL halftime show. At the Munich Game, a demonstration of flag football was presented at halftime. So now there is a halftime show like the one known in the USA.
The league has chosen an artist duo for this show act. Songwriter Nico Santos and rapper Kontra K are supposed to heat up the fans on site and via TV.
According to NFL Germany, this duo promises “a unique top act that bridges the gap between English and German-language music.”
This will be a performance that the two artists will not soon forget. “I am incredibly happy to be able to play the first NFL halftime show in Germany together with an exceptional artist like Kontra K,” said Santos enthusiastically, pointing out the worldwide reach. “The NFL games are entertainment at the highest level, and the halftime shows from the USA have shaped pop culture.” Therefore, he and his colleague are “very hyped and motivated to deliver a crazy show here that is unique in this combination.”
Kontra K is also keen on this opportunity. “It is an honor for me to be able to play the show and I hope we can soon follow the legendary US halftime shows in Germany,” said the 36-year-old, who is a big football fan. At the London Game two weeks ago, the rapper went to England to watch the Baltimore Ravens game against the Tennessee Titans.
The Indianpolis Colts will face the New England Patriots in Frankfurt on November 12th.
