Previously, the new draft UN Security Council resolution on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict did not include convictions the Palestinian Hamas movement and the affirmation of Israel’s right to self-defense. This was stated by the permanent representative of the Jewish state to the world organization Gilad Erdan. The draft is being prepared by “a dozen” non-permanent members of the body, but Erdan is skeptical about the prospects for the adoption of this document in the Security Council.
