He was retained in his position by the president of the transition Oligui Nguema last Friday following the extraordinary session of the Superior Council of Magistracy.
The president of the transition, General Oligui Nguema, showed his confidence in the public prosecutor André Patrick Raponat by maintaining him in his post as public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Libreville in Gabon.
Indeed, André Patrick Raponat was appointed in 2019 by deposed president Ali Bongo Ondimba to replace Olivier Nzaou.
Remember that the public prosecutor is at the heart of the dignity operation launched by the military in power. The operation placed former First Lady Sylvia Bongo Ondimba and those whom the Gabonese call the “Young Team” under arrest warrant.
