This is a very strange way to use a Tesla. In the United States, the owner ofa Model decided to give it a most original transformation. In short, he converted it into a kind of camper vanwith integrated bed and kitchen. As reported Business Insiderhe wanted to live « van life »…but with a Tesla.
The owner in question is a YouTuber, Sandro van Kuijck. More than a radical transformation of his Tesla Model X, he lived in his car. The objective: to tour the United States and visit the country. He thus achieved what many people do with a van or camper van, but with an electric car. As ergonomic and efficient as it is, this car is perhaps not the most comfortable.
He lived for a year in a Tesla transformed into a van
According to Sandro van Kuijck, he was able to live in his Tesla Model a full year. He did not stay in the same place, since he claims to have crossed no less than 49 states. He even went as far as Alaska. That’s how far we’ve come! The YouTuber explained that he had this idea during a trip to Texas, during which he was sleeping in his Tesla.
On the other hand, at the time, his electric car was not as well equipped as today to serve as a van. He then had great difficulty sleeping inside, lack of comfort. Once he returned from this trip, he asked himself if he could extend the experience with his Tesla, but by adapting it to improve living comfort.

A price problem
