Pavels Muraveiko, Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, has threatened the neighboring country Lithuania with military aggression, reports dialog.ua.
The regime of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, continues to become more and more aggressive – Pavels Muraveiko, Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, has issued public threats of war to neighboring Lithuania.
The official made a loud statement at a seminar in the executive committee of the city of Minsk, Belarusian publication “Zerkalo” reported.
Muraveiko began threatening Lithuania with a ban on the movement of Belarusian goods across its border, after Vilnius reacted to Belarus’ direct participation in Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The representative of the Security Council of Belarus called Lithuania’s ban “economic aggression”, without hesitating to refer to international law.
“We have every reason to cut a vital corridor for us by force of arms,” Muraveiko said, adding that “nobody else in the world would condemn Belarus.”
It should be noted that in the end, Muraveiko admitted that “due to Western pressure” there will be no invasion of Lithuania – probably, realizing that Belarus’s military capabilities are limited, besides, Lithuania has been a member of NATO since 2004.
