Kochi: Kalamassery blast accused Dominic Martin arrested. Martin’s arrest was recorded after several hours of questioning. Dominic Martin surrendered at the Kodakara police station yesterday afternoon. After this, he had given some evidence to the police.
After Martin’s surrender, the police were trying to find evidence to corroborate his statement. As part of this, the police inspected the petrol station where he bought petrol and the shops where he bought explosives. His arrest was recorded after collecting the maximum evidence.
The Special Investigation Team is likely to file a custodial application today before the Magistrate. The interrogation has been completed but the collection of evidence is yet to be completed. Martin needs to be brought to the hall where the blast took place, the house where the bomb was made and the shops where the explosives were bought and the evidence collected. Therefore, the special investigation team will try to take him into custody as soon as possible.
