Son Heung-min celebrates the return of Rodrigo Bentancur
Bentancur has not been seen in Premier League action since the defeat to Leicester City in January.
The Uruguayan suffered a significant knee injury in that match and has since come a long road to recovery.
Bentancur was only introduced for a few minutes, but it was a great moment for him, the Spurs team and the traveling fans.
Captain Son is certainly happy to greet Bentancur’s return Tottenham official website.
Son admitted that seeing Bentancur makes him smile, but it was also an emotional moment after seeing him go through such a difficult journey.
Son added that Bentancur is an “incredible player” that Ange Postecoglou can turn to moving forward.
“It makes me laugh. What an incredible player to have on our team. He is like a new signing,” Son stated. “We were looking forward to having him back and when he showed up, I was excited because he’s a good friend of mine.”
“I enjoy every moment with him, even last season when I suffered an injury, he was always pushing me. I’m really grateful that he came back healthy, I hope that now he stays fit and is a big boost to the team. “I am very happy to have him back,” he added.
