The match between Marseille and Lyon, which was supposed to take place yesterday and was rightfully considered the centerpiece of the tour, did not take place at all due to riots caused by aggressive fans of the home team.

Shortly before the start of this match, Marseille fans attacked the Lyon bus that arrived with the team at the stadium and threw stones at it. As a result of this incident, Lyon head coach Fabio Grosso suffered a head injury. After providing first aid on the spot, he was taken to the clinic, and the match itself was postponed for an indefinite period.
In addition to Grosso, other representatives of the Lyon team were also injured as a result of the attack by Marseille fans, but none of them were hospitalized.
