Anju, a resident of India, had reached Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan after falling in love with a Facebook friend. 34 year old Anju had left her husband and two children in Rajasthan. She had told her husband about going to visit Amritsar, then called and said that she had reached Lahore. After this the matter remained in the headlines for several days. She married Nasrullah, a resident of Pakistan. After this, she converted from Christian to Muslim and changed her name from Anju to Fatima.
Awaiting approval from Pakistan government
Anju and Nasrullah had talked about staying in Pakistan after marriage. Nasrullah quoted Anju as claiming that she considers Pakistan as her home. At present he is waiting to come to India. For this, approval is awaited from the Home Ministry of Pakistan. Then she will be able to come to India. Nasrullah says that we are waiting for NOC from the Pakistani government. This process is taking some time.
