The prosecution, which is investigating suspicions of unfair labor practices against Paris Baguette bakers, began a mandatory investigation on the 30th to confirm whether SPC Group was involved.

The 3rd Public Investigation Department of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office (Chief Sambin Lim) sent prosecutors and investigators to the SPC Group headquarters on this day to secure internal meeting materials. The targets of this search and seizure also included Chairman Heo Young-in.

Prosecutors are investigating allegations that PB Partners, a subsidiary of SPC Group, encouraged members of the Paris Baguette branch of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) synthetic fiber food union to withdraw from the union or gave them personnel disadvantages. PB Partners is a company in charge of recruiting and training Paris Baguette bakers.
