Carlos Fernando Galán, candidate of the New Liberalism, surpassed one million votes and was followed by the candidates Juan Daniel Oviedo (signatures) and Gustavo Bolívar (Historical Pact).
Carlos Fernando Galán, candidate of the New Liberalism party, became the new mayor of Bogotá this October 29. He will replace Claudia López in office as of January 1, 2024, then exceed one million votes at the polls this Sunday.
This result confirms that Bogotá has a mayor in the first round and that, as the polls predicted, Galán achieved the majority of votes, surpassing his personal record of 1,022,362 supports at the polls, a figure he reached in the 2019 elections in Bogotá, in which he was second behind López.
