Did you mix up the thread? Did you really mean to respond to me? If you were serious, then I could respond with a question in the same spirit: seriously, is the average price of sold phones 100,000 CZK per piece? For the very stubborn: after all, I’m not saying that the price of a new phone costs the same as replacing the battery. But that’s enough if it’s 30-50% of the price of a new one. This already at least makes most people wonder if it is worth investing a certain amount in a 2-3 year old phone, when they can have a similar phone for just twice as much (perhaps 2-3000 CZK extra) but completely new, maybe even a little better and with a warranty . Regardless of the fact that MOST people don’t know where to get the battery changed and the service isn’t really around the corner, so changing the battery would mean 1. realizing that it’s even possible 2. finding out where 3. sending the phone there and being there for a while without a phone. Not everyone has two spares in their drawer, and points 1 and 2 can be a problem. And really, the average price of a phone after 2-3 years of use is neither 50,000 nor 20,000 CZK. And that’s not even here in the Czech Republic (people swear a lot, but we’re still quite above average here) and certainly not worldwide. The price is probably around 7000 CZK. For a new one. So when replacing the battery, the price is already much lower. And people who buy a phone for 7 thousand or less actually have different requirements than people who buy phones for 20 or 40. And if you ask them why they buy a new one, so they usually don’t tell you “I want a faster processor, I don’t have enough RAM, I’d like better quality photos, a display with smaller frames. They’ll say that they have to charge it at least twice a day or that it turns off by itself (when the battery doesn’t keep up, but they don’t know that…)
