Since the beginning of the war, the Hadera Technoscience Museum became a mobile museum, and carried out a science activity called “Science Magic” for thousands of children from the Gaza Strip who were evacuated from their homes to the Tel Aviv area and to the Carmel beach.
The contents of the recess that the Technoscience instructors deliver to Gaza Strip children of all ages are “science magic”: behind the scenes of science magic, a special activity for elementary school students and their parents. The young children are exposed to exciting scientific phenomena: fire that disappears and water that does not spill, playing with soap bubbles filled with dry ice, making cars that move using Newton’s third law and experiments with the phenomenon of capillaries with paper roses that open in water.
For more mature students, the technoscience instructors pass on the “magic of the brain”, experiments and experiences that challenge the brain to middle school and high school students. This way they will get to know the activity of the brain through various means: testing reflexes, reaction speed games, tools to control breathing and heart rate and listening with a stethoscope to check this.
In addition, Israeli children can enjoy fun activities on the Technodea website, which offers a variety of enrichment and fun activities on science topics. Website https://www.technoda.org.il/
