REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TASIKMALAYA — There is a positive case of monkey pox (monkeypox) in DKI Jakarta made the Tasikmalaya City Health Service (Dinkes), West Java, alert. Health facilities (faskes) in Tasikmalaya City have been asked to be ready to anticipate the potential spread of monkey pox.

Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division Tasikmalaya City Health Office Asep Hendra said that so far there had been no reports regarding the suspected case monkey pox in Tasikmalaya City.

“So far it’s safe. There are no reports yet. “However, vigilance has been increased,” said Asep, when contacted RepublicAhad (29/10/2023).

As a form of vigilance, Asep said, the Health Office had given directions to each health facility. According to him, health facilities were asked to immediately report to the Health Office if there were patients with symptoms indicating monkey pox.

With the report, he said, it could later be followed up with an epidemiological investigation.

Asep said that the Tasikmalaya City Health Office asked health facilities to continue monitoring. “So far there have been no cases that point to that. “Hopefully there isn’t,” he said.
