The price of flagship phones is gradually increasing. Even if Apple or Samsung drop prices from time to time, the situation will not improve significantly. After all, only a few years ago, the flagship was released for less than 20 thousand crowns. Now we are mostly above the 30,000 crown mark.
The Pro, Ultra, Pro+ and other models, which were not available in earlier times, contributed to this. And then there are also increased expenses for the production of phones, including more expensive components and higher deposits for electricity, which practically every one of you has to deal with.

More expensive phones? Because of Qualcomm
The server SamMobile now mentions the speculation, which is supposed to be related to the future prices of key components, such as processors and chipsets. The American company Qualcomm, a first-class manufacturer of chipsets, 5G modems and other components for mobile phones, is planning to raise prices quite a bit.
A panel discussion during the recent Hawaii unveiling of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship chipset revealed that Qualcomm is investing heavily in the innovation of its technologies, so the price of the next generation – Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 – can be expected to increase significantly.
Qualcomm’s vice president, Chris Patrick, told the media: “Qualcomm expects the cost of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 to increase as the company strives to achieve stunning levels of performance.”
Would you pay more?
It is so logical that with higher costs, the price of the final products that contain these more expensive components must logically rise as well. It can thus be expected that the price of the Galaxy S25 model series will increase. And the top Ultra model could be sold for more than $1,199 (almost 34,000 crowns), what it costs now.
Even more alarming could be the increase in the price of the phone from the Galaxy Z Fold series. It is currently sold from 45,000 crowns, an increase in price to 50,000 crowns and more cannot be ruled out.
Otherwise, other manufacturers will move to alternative component manufacturers who can keep the price down. Such as MediaTek and others. Would you be willing to pay more for a phone than you do now, even though your real wages will not increase significantly?
