About two weeks ago, Verhelst Groep from Oudenburg was hit by a cyber attack. In West Flanders, the company still has branches in Bruges, Knokke-Heist, Kuurne, Ostend, Roeselare and Veurne, but the company is also in Mechelen, Deurne and Drongen. “In all these places it was no longer possible to communicate with our customers,” says managing director Kathleen Verhelst. “We also no longer received information about our stocks, productions and transports.”
