Esperance of Tunisia will be a heavy guest on its Moroccan rival Wydad at 8 pm today at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca in the first leg of the African League semi-finals. The Referees Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to appoint an Egyptian refereeing team led by Amin Omar for the match between Esperance of Tunisia and Wydad of Morocco in the semi-finals of the African Super League.
The Egyptian crew includes Amin Omar, referee, and is assisted by Youssef El-Bsati, first assistant, Sami Hilal, second assistant, Mahmoud Al-Banna, fourth referee, Mahmoud Ashour, video referee, and Mohamed Adel, assistant video referee.
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) had announced that the semi-final matches of the African League Championship would be broadcast for free on the FIFA Plus platform, whose teams will be Al-Ahly with South Africa’s Sun Downs, and Morocco’s Wydad with Esperance of Tunisia.
FIFA said in a statement, “All African League semi-final matches will be available directly on the FIFA+ platform, and all home and away matches will be shown.”
He added, “The African League Championship was launched thanks to a partnership between CAF and FIFA, and the first edition of the tournament brought together the eight most famous and brightest clubs in the African continent, which belong to the three regional regions in Africa.”
