PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) has increased the number of regular Whoosh Fast Train trips, from the previous 14 to 28 schedules. Number of trips starting in November 2023.
Thanks to this doubling of trips, the number of available seats has also increased from 8,414 seats to 16,828 seats per day.
KCIC Main Director Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi said the public’s high enthusiasm for the Whoosh Fast Train service can be seen from the high number of ticket sales. It is recorded that the number of tickets sold, including reservations, since it opened on October 17 to November 1 2023 has reached 124 thousand tickets.
Meanwhile, the total number of passengers served by the Whoosh Fast Train as of October 27 was 87 thousand passengers with an occupancy rate reaching 90% and the number of passengers reaching 13 thousand passengers in one day.
“We are increasing the number of trips to 28 trips because more and more people need the Whoosh Fast Train service. To help people who want to arrive in Jakarta earlier, KCIC is now providing a 05.50 train departure from Tegalluar which will arrive at Halim at 06.36,” said Dwiyana in an official statement, Saturday (28/10/2023).
