Continuing Education Day: Empowering Employees in the Face of the Skilled Workers Challenge

The qualification of employees is a social challenge. It is intended to reduce the need for skilled workers in companies in the long term and open up new professional opportunities for employees. The Gießen employment agency is therefore offering all interested parties, employers, job seekers and employees the “Continuing Education Day” in the Career Information Center (BiZ) on November 2nd from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

General information is passed on here and arguments such as the financial advantage are shown. Individual discussions with experts are also possible without making an appointment. In addition to the individual discussion opportunities at consultation tables, a supporting program with short interviews is offered at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Here experts from the employer service, so-called career advisors in working life and further training advisors as well as educational coaches, have their say.

“Employers tell us every day that the need for skilled workers is constantly increasing and has grown into a major challenge,” says Daniela Hach, team leader of the employer service at the Gießen employment agency. “Due to demographic change, this need can no longer be met through in-company training and the influx of skilled workers from abroad. We therefore try to provide employers and employees with low-threshold information on the subject of further training and qualification. I recommend everyone to look into this topic.”

Interested parties who have not yet been in contact with the employment agency are expressly invited. Registration is not required. Participation in the event is free.
