PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has carried out an evaluation after the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) announced the results of the eSAF frame inspection on Honda automatic motorbikes.
Octavianus Dwi as Marketing Director of PT AHM admitted that his party opened the door to consumers who wanted to make complaints regarding the frame. Because Honda wants to ensure that all consumers receive the best service.
“If you look at the KNKT and friends at the Ministry of Transportation, they say that actually there is no problem with the quality,” said Octa when met by media crew at ICE BSD, South Tangerang.
“Let’s make sure together that if consumers want to check, please come, we’ll handle it together. That’s what we encourage. Don’t worry, everything is free,” he added.

In the same place, PT AHM Executive Vice President, Thomas Wijaya confirmed that his party had carried out a thorough evaluation after inspecting the eSAF frame. He admitted that he would carry out the steps recommended by the NTSC and the Ministry of Transportation.
“There has been comprehensive optimization of existing protection. In accordance with what is recommended by the government,” said Thomas.
One form of this evaluation, said Thomas, is increasing the frame warranty period from the original one year to five years. Not only eSAF, this guarantee applies to all Honda motorbike frames sold in Indonesia.

Not only that, there is a five year guarantee for Honda motorbike frames without distance limits. However, it only applies to vehicles purchased from October 25, 2023.
“We want to guarantee the quality (of motorbikes) for consumers, we want to guarantee their comfort and safety. So with good quality, we can provide guarantees for all types,” he said.
“We are sure that the quality (of the motorbike frame) is good, all that remains is (to provide a sense of comfort to consumers),” added Thomas.
It is known that the NTSC and the Ministry of Transportation have announced the results of the inspection of Honda’s eSAF frame. As a result, the quality and production process of components has no problems or is fine. However, rust was found on the inside.
