IT media outlet Nine to Five Mac reported on the 26th (local time) that some Apple Watch users who updated to Apple’s latest Apple Watch operating system (OS), WatchOS 10.1, are experiencing problems such as battery drain.

Additionally, it was revealed that most of them are experiencing overheating issues when charging their Apple Watches. They claim that they are experiencing a problem with the battery being discharged even when the Apple Watch is placed on the charger, with a message saying “Charging is on hold due to Apple Watch temperature” appearing in the Settings app.

The issue has been appearing steadily since watchOS 10.1 was released this week, and a search for the issue on Twitter brings up various opinions from users, the media reported.

This problem is not limited to some models, but ranges from the old model Apple Watch 4 to the recently released Apple Watch 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
Apple has not yet revealed its position on the issue, and there is no mention of this issue in the watchOS 10.2 beta version for developers released on the 26th.
