The Hilarious Toilet Recording Mishap: Dota 2 Commentator’s Funny Story about Valve’s Rejection

Dota 2 commentator Shannon SUNSfan Scottan told a funny story on the podcast about the voiceline that Valve wouldn’t let him add to the game. The American recorded the voiceover in the toilet, accompanying the phrase with the sounds of urination. The developers did not accept his application.

According to SUNSfan, Valve did not warn lighting studio employees that in 2023 their sets would include two phrases at once. Because of this, Scotten sent one “full-fledged” remark and accompanied it with a “comic” one. The latter was supposed to favorably emphasize the main option, since it contained the sound of a burp. Caster Troels syndereN Nielsen, who participated in the podcast, said that SUNSfan has been sending a similar recording for the past few years.

When the sets appeared in the game, casters discovered that Valve decided to add two phrases each. After that, many began to record the lines. At the same time, SUNSfan stated that the main sales occur in the first days after the appearance of sets in the game, and therefore did not take the matter seriously.
