Friday, 22 and 19 years were demanded for the murder of rapper Boechi from Tilburg in the Willemstad court on Curacao. The alleged shooter Chris Z. was sentenced to 22 years in prison. As far as the justice system is concerned, the driver would have to spend 19 years in prison.
Ruchendell ‘Boechi’ Windster was shot dead on December 9 last year on the Rooseveltweg in Curaçao. He came from Tilburg, made music in Papiamento and was in Curaçao for performances.
The murder took place at a street food stall after a performance. Boechi was fired upon from a car. The driver and shooter were arrested in April. During the trial on Friday it turned out that the men had been following Boechi for an hour. Most likely the rapper also had a weapon with him, it was said.
When sentencing, it did not matter to the justice system whether someone had shot or just driven the car. The sentence for Chris Z. (24) was a few years higher because he was previously convicted of attempted murder.
Churendy C. (44) is suspected of having driven the car. According to him, Chris shot at the rapper out of nowhere. But according to Chris, it wasn’t just anything and it wasn’t about a chain either. According to him, there is a client for whom both worked, he said in June.
The widow of rapper Boechi, Niandy Windster-Losiabaar, does not know why her husband was murdered. It was also not clear exactly what happened on Friday. Chris Z., who allegedly shot, denies that he was in the car or near Boechi. He stated that he was home sick. However, C. told the judge that Z. would have called someone after firing the shots and said that ‘the case is closed’.
The widow of rapper Boechi demanded more than 50,000 euros in damages during the lawsuit on Friday. Niandy Windster-Losiabaar lost her husband and father of her four children last December when he was shot dead in Curacao. The two suspects in the murder of Tilburg rapper Boechi, Churendy C. (44) and Chris Z. (24), will appear in court in Willemstad, Curacao on Friday.
Niandy formulated her demand during her right to speak. As a victim, she may address the suspects in the trial. In addition to her claim for compensation, she also briefly talked about the enormous impact the murder had on their four children. They now have to grow up without their father, she said.
