If someone asks about the biggest snake in the world, maybe some people will think the Anaconda is the answer.
However, this turns out to be wrong. Yes, the biggest snake in the world is none other than Titanoboa, which is so big it can easily swallow a crocodile without having to make any effort.

Quoting IFL Sciene, Titanoboa lived in the Paleocene era or around 66-56 million years ago. These giant snakes filled the niche left by the extinction of the dinosaurs, becoming top predators in the tropical forests of South America.

In northern Colombia, in the region known as Cerrejón, one of the world’s most abundant fossil ‘banks’ in a quarry uncovered the bones of this spectacular snake. The Titanoboa snake was so big, its size was many times the size of modern snakes today.
