Details: No one was reported to have claimed responsibility, but Egyptian state TV channel Al-Qahera News reported that the rocket hit was likely related to fighting between Hamas militants and the Israeli military around Gaza.

Apparently the rocket hit near an ambulance station and a residential building. According to the Egyptian Ministry of Health, 6 people were injured, 4 of them have already been discharged from the hospital.

Another shell could have landed in the Egyptian city of Nuweiba, 70 km from the border with Israel.

Witnesses at both locations, who asked not to be identified, confirmed explosions and smoke. The Israeli military said it was aware of the incident outside its borders.

The cities of Taba and Nuweiba are located on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt and are popular among tourists.
