Carl Eklund has advanced to the top 16 in the European Cup in Berlin. During Thursday, the 18-year-old climbed one place in the overall and is now fourth with 5,459 points over 24 series before Friday’s game.
– It was nice to climb a position. I want to continue increasing tomorrow (read: today), says Carl Eklund to the Swedish Bowling Association’s website.
According to the Swedish Bowling Association, Mats Maggi, Belgium, is currently in the overall lead with 5,643 points. Carl Eklund has 52 points up to third Tomas Käyhkö, Finland. Clement Dubus from Belgium is in fifth place and is 22 points behind Eklund.
At 10 a.m. on Friday morning, Eklund takes the courts again in Bowlplay Berlin. There, another eight series will be played in the men’s top 16. The top eight players will then advance to Saturday’s games.
– The recording will probably determine how I lay out the plan. I want to continue to increase in terms of points and get closer to first place, says Carl Eklund.
