Maciej Zawadzki debuted in 2021. It was then that he released his first single “Przypadki”, which promoted his upcoming album. The singer is a big fan of jazz, which he combines with the sounds of the 80s. Until now, little has been heard about him in the media, but now it has changed thanks to a famous interview he gave to the “Replika” magazine. It was in its pages that he decided to come out and make an honest confession about his orientation.

Maciej Zawadzki became the hero of the new issue of “Replika”. The magazine’s Instagram profile also refers to Andrzej Piaseczny, who also came out in the same way. “Maciej Zawadzki is a vocalist. So far, he has released ten songs under the wings of the Kayax label, he dreams of releasing a debut album. As an openly gay singer, he is unfortunately still more of a phenomenon on the Polish music market than an element of normality (sure, there is Piasek, but one Piasek it doesn’t make spring),” we read.
In an interview, Maciej Zawadzki spoke directly about his orientation and what he has to face. He emphasized that he had no intention of hiding anymore and had worked through everything in therapy. “I’ve heard that I’m “too much” and that’s where it’s usually cut short, but it’s about “too gay”. That I’d have to tone it down a bit. I don’t want to tone it down. I’ve had three years of therapy behind me and that’s not why I went there, to hide such an important part of myself now,” he said.
Maciej Zawadzki recently decided to discuss the LGBT+ topic in his song “Z panem pan”. What’s more, he not only sang the song, but also directed the clip. In the song, he makes fun of homophobia, and in the clip he kissed another man. Maciej Zawadzki’s photos can be found in the gallery at the top of the page.
Meanwhile, Andrzej Piaseczny came out in 2021. He emphasized that he did not want to do it earlier due to the campaign against homosexual people by the government and the president. Now he lives in harmony with himself and willingly shows photos with his partner.
