Since its creation in 2008, Mediapart has established itself as a pillar of investigative journalism in France. To celebrate this 15th anniversary, Médiapart organized a tour in 15 cities this year. Le Média is coming to Villeurbanne and more precisely to Rayon this Saturday.
Over the years, Mediapart stood out for its unwavering commitment to the public’s right to information. “Everything that is of public interest must be made public” has always been the guiding principle of the media. It’s not just a motto, it’s a commitment they have honored day after day.
A model of independence
The independence of Mediapart is both its strength and its particularity. By choosing not to depend on billionaire shareholders, to refuse all advertising and all state aid, the media has ensured total editorial freedom. The only ” entity “ to which they are indebted? Their subscribers. It is thanks to this independence that they can deal with sensitive subjects, ranging from the controversies surrounding the Macron presidency to the allegations on the financing of Sarkozy by Libya, including the actions of the LVMH group.
15 surveys for 15 years
To mark this anniversary, Mediapart has decided to publish 15 flagship surveys, offering an overview of the moments when journalism really made a difference
Meetings and festivities
To celebrate this 15th anniversary, Médiapart also organized a 15-city tour, which began in March and will end on December 16.
