The Tour de France Returns to Côte-d’Or: Exciting Stages and Olympic Preparations

For the first time since 2017, the Tour de France returns to Côte-d’Or, where it will even stay for three days in a row. The 6th stage, on July 4, will start in Mâcon and end in Dijon, which will be a stage city for the 18th time in its history. Stage 7, on July 5, will connect Gevrey-Chambertin to Nuits-Saint-Georges for a 25-kilometer time trial.

Finally, stage 8 will leave Semur-en-Auxois for 176 kilometers to Colombey-les-Deux-Eglises. Good news for the department labeled “land of cycling” by the French Cycling Federation, welcomes François Sauvadet, president of the departmental council.

Which also recalls that Semur-en-Auxois was selected for the preparation of cycling teams for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024.
