The China Manned Space Administration (CMSA) announced on the 26th that China’s manned spacecraft ‘Shenzhou 17’, launched on the 26th, arrived at the Chinese space station.
According to CMSA, Shenzhou 17 successfully docked with the Chinese space station ‘Tiangong’ orbiting the Earth at 5:46 pm Beijing time.
It has been about six hours since it was launched on a ‘Long March-2F’ rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert, Gansu Province, northwest China, at 11:14 a.m. on this day.
The three astronauts aboard Shenzhou 17 will take over the mission from the three astronauts who arrived at the Chinese space station aboard Shenzhou 16 on May 30.
Afterwards, they will stay on the space station for six months to conduct experiments related to biotechnology and medicine, and will be the first Chinese astronaut to carry out high-level experimental maintenance and repairs on the exterior of the ship.
