The KNMI issued a code yellow on Thursday morning due to dense fog. Spread across the country, visibility can therefore be locally less than 200 meters. There may also be some local drizzle. Clearances will follow later in the morning.
The yellow code does not apply to the provinces of Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel and Limburg. In the rest of the country, the dense fog will gradually disappear in the second half of the morning. During the clearing days that follow, there is also a chance that the sun will show itself.
The clear spells may be short-lived, as clouds will increase again later from the south. That will be followed by some showers. In Zeeland there is even a chance of thunder. The temperature will fluctuate between 11 and 14 degrees on Thursday. There is a weak to moderate east to southeast wind.
There are also few dry moments on Friday and during the weekend. The temperature also remains more or less the same, although a peak of locally 17 degrees is possible on Sunday.
