Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe executive produced a documentary about his stunt double, who was left paralyzed after an accident while filming the saga. HBO reported this on its page on the social network.
David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived premieres on November 15th.
It will tell the coming-of-age story of the amazing teenage gymnast and stuntman Holmes, who was chosen to be the stunt double for 11-year-old Radcliffe in the first Harry Potter film. Over the next ten years they worked in close partnership until, in the penultimate part of the film, Holmes suffered a severe spinal injury and was left confined to a wheelchair.
In addition to his role as an understudy, David Holmes played Slytherin student Adrian Pusey in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
The film will feature rare footage from David Holmes’ personal archive, behind-the-scenes footage of his stunt work, scenes from his present life, and intimate interviews with cast members.
As reported EADailyformerly author of the Harry Potter novels Joanne Rowling sparked another scandal on social networks by refusing to recognize trans women as women.
