Anders Öfvergård appears as presenter in the new renovation series “Renovaringsdrömmar” on TV5.
The concept was presented at a press meeting in Stockholm today, Wednesday.
– I have had time for reflection, says the TV celebrity The evening paper.
There has been a storm around Öfvergård in recent months.
It was at the end of June that Öfvergård was caught with stolen meat products in a self-service checkout at an ICA store. He acknowledged that he did not pay for the goods, but has always claimed that it was a mistake.
The verdict was handed down in August.
– Should I lie down and die
The 55-year-old admits that it has been difficult with all the speculation.
– I probably thought at one point: What am I going to do? Shall I lie down and die somewhere? But that doesn’t work either. I have a magical wife and four wonderful children – and I think they want me here for a long time.

Even today, the presenter clarifies that he has “never in his entire life intended to steal anything”.
– But the district court did not share that view. I was convicted of theft and must pay the sentence and move on.
The 55-year-old was given 40 daily fines, each with a value of SEK 1,000. In addition, he had to pay court costs of NOK 1,000.

Therapy and meditation
Öfvergård assures that he has a good tone with the TV channel today and that he is not bitter.
He says to The evening paper that he realizes that it was he himself who caused the collaboration to end.
– I cannot control their decisions. But then you can discuss what happened and what didn’t happen. But it’s not really that interesting.
He also states that he has recently attended a course with a focus on therapy and meditation.
– And it was fantastic. I have also taken two courses called “Developing leadership” and “Developing group leadership”, which Försvarshögskolan has.
