Al Bilad newspaper Replacing the imprisonment of a woman who forged a document from “Nahra” with “rehabilitation”

The First High Criminal Court convicted a woman (a mother of four children) who worked as an employee in a company that supplies facilities and centers with medical devices to 6 months in prison for forging an official document issued by the National Authority for Health Regulatory Professions and Services “Nahra” in contradiction to the truth, and supported replacing her sentence with her attendance at training and rehabilitation programs. .

The court said in the merits of its ruling that it had mercy on the woman within the limits permitted by Article 72 of the Penal Code, in addition to the absence of any previous charges against her.

Details of the incident indicate that the woman took advantage of her work in the company concerned with supplying facilities and centers with medical devices by forging an official electronic record belonging to the National Health Regulatory Authority (Nahra), which is a document for initial approval of a medical device concerned with hair thickening, by relying on technology. The fabrication is that she modified the data of a previous company document, changed its issuance date and serial number, wrote the specifications of the device, and added a paragraph stating that the document is an initial approval for the device and a final approval will be issued for it later, contrary to the truth, and the woman sent the document to the medical center.

The center then wanted to sell the device, and accordingly, it sent a text message to the Authority’s Devices and Supplies Regulation Department and attached to it the fake document sent to it by the woman, stating that the device had initial approval for its use, and was in the process of obtaining final approval for it. When the Authority inspected the document, it was found that to her that it is not true; Because the Authority only gives agencies final approvals and not (initial and final), and the approvals issued in two steps are for companies, and accordingly, the woman was contacted.

Upon interrogation, the woman admitted that she had forged an official electronic record issued by the Authority and sent it to the center as an initial approval to use the device, and that the medical center’s constant insistence on her made her do so, by taking an official document related to the initial approval of companies and modifying its data using one of the technical programs on the computer, contrary to the truth. Writing a statement stating the document is an initial approval to use the device, and a final approval will be issued for it later.
