Graz (OTS) – Especially in times of massive inflation, AK Steiermark is keen to help with complex measures. The school and study allowance has now been increased to 300 euros.
“We provide support throughout the entire school career,” says Alexandra Hörmann, head of education at the Chamber of Labor. Whether middle school, AHS, apprenticeship or other options – the AK experts provide comprehensive and neutral advice. “With the help of a precise interest test, we can determine individual inclinations and discuss the appropriate educational paths in detail during a personal consultation,” says Hörmann. It is also helpful to be informed about all the options, especially before you graduate. Here, the Chamber of Labor offers individual advice as well as tailor-made lectures at schools. AK education expert Katrin Hochstrasser: “We would also be happy to provide an overview of possible public and private funding.” The AK Steiermark itself has reacted to the massive price increases and increased its own school and study grants.
The AK school allowance
The Chamber of Labor supports its members and their children with low family incomes from the 9th grade onwards with school grants of 300 euros per school year. From the 10th grade onwards, you must first submit an application for state student aid. As soon as the notification of the granting of state aid is available, it must be sent to the AK with the completely completed application form.
The AK study grant
Similar to school grants, study grants of 300 euros require an application for state study grants (www.stipendium.at) before the members can contact the AK. The currently valid guidelines for granting training funding for health and social professions of the AK Steiermark apply to bachelor’s studies in the nursing sector and associated combination training, bachelor’s studies in the MTD area and the bachelor’s degree in midwifery.
