Egyptian media personality Reham Saeed criticized the return of the artist Elissa to perform her concerts, in light of the conditions in which the Gaza Strip is suffering from genocide and heinous massacres.
Reham stressed, during her program “Sabaya Shams,” that she does not criticize anyone’s patriotism, but one must respect the suffering of others, saying: “There are assets that hurt us and hurt others when they find life normal.”
She added: “When your neighbor has a goat… and the television becomes louder or the smell of cooking appears, we say that turning off the television and the smell is a shame, because there is a dead person in the house.”
Reham responded to Elissa’s tweet in which she described those who criticized her return to concerts as a “failure,” saying: “Elissa asked us a question and said, ‘I will not stop concerts because anyone is a failure, but he is not a failure. He is anyone who has blood and will not like to appear at a party in full. My style and makeup.
She also mocked Elissa’s request for the audience to stand for a minute of silence in mourning for the victims of the Gaza Strip, and said: “There was no silence and people were laughing, because if you are going to stay up late at a party, you will not stand for a minute of silence. This is not a party at the opera.”
