The Deux-Sèvres department recently announced that it would install a Big screen on Place Denfert-Rochereau in Niort, on the occasion of the opening match of the Rugby World Cup which will pit the French XV against New Zealand. This shock between two of the favorites of the competition will be broadcast as part of a full weekend dedicated to oval racing, at the Department house.
The number of places to watch the match at the Department House is limited and registration is required. Registration is free.
A competition in the department every Saturday
During the Rugby World Cup, a weekend dedicated to rugby will be organized every week in one of the towns of the department.
The towns hosting this challenge are Bressuire, Chauray, Melle, Parthenay, Saint-Maixent-l’Ecole and Thouars. The city of Niort will also host the last session of this event, on Saturday October 28 and will broadcast the final of the competition on this occasion.
