Thiruvananthapuram: ‘Attam’ scripted and directed by debutant Anand Ekarshi is the Indian Panorama opening film at the Goa International Film Festival. In the feature category, seven Malayalam films were selected for Panorama. ‘Attam’ was among the twenty films selected by the National Film Development Corporation’s Film Bazaar jury for international delegates. 25 feature films and 20 non-feature films are screened at Panorama. Mammootty and Jyothika starrer Geobaby’s ‘Kathal’, Unni Mukundan starrer Vishnu Shashi Shankar’s ‘Malikappuram’, Rohit MG Krishnan’s ‘Iratta’, Ratheesh Balakrishna Phudhuwal’s ‘Nna Than Kes Kod’ and Ganesh Raj’s ‘Pookalam’ also judd in mainstream cinema. Anthony’s 2018 is also in the list.
‘Sree Rudram’ directed by Ananda Jyoti from Malayalam made it to the non-feature list.
Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘Vaccine War’ from Hindi, Sudeepto Sen’s ‘The Kerala Story’, Vetrimaran’s ‘Vithuthalai’ from Tamil and Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponnayan Selvan 2’ are also being screened. Goa Film Festival from November 20 to 28.
