Around forty participants, including one of the 80-year-old Anglophones, took part last Sunday in the second rehearsal of the Pink Flashmob at the Saint-Jean Hall. An initiative from the City of Anglet, supported by Christiane Bossavie, municipal councilor responsible for public health, in partnership with the Bayonne hospital.
At the helm of the Blues Blanches Orkestra, Arnaud Labastie. The director of the Tarnos music school joined this orchestra in 2018… following a surgical operation. He is surrounded by nursing staff, including doctors like the trumpeter Julien (functional rehabilitation doctor) or the saxophonist Laurent (responsible for communications at the hospital center).
The choreography is provided by the English dance school CDantza, managed by Carine. The latter had been voluntarily preparing, since June, several versions of this flashmob, in duo with Delphine Devauchelle. This figure skating teacher will present, the day before, a version on ice, during the Hormadi match.
Solidarity
In addition to the musicians, this flashmob – representative of the solidarity of this Pink October – will be joined this Saturday by Marie Bel, Sybelle and Fabienne (hospital executives) but also by Sylvie Vaquero (deputy director of the sports department), Marie and her comrades from the municipality’s activities as well as Isabelle, administrative manager of the City.
Champion in the Angloy Bath Guides, Jeanne will be imitated by Maryse, 90 years old. Like seven residents of the Petit Désir senior residence, the 2023 dean will perform the seated choreography, like the disabled basketball players dear to Nicolas Bachoffer.

This flashmob will therefore take place at the end of Pink October, Saturday October 28, at 12 p.m., on the Espace de l’Océan esplanade, as part of the pink village. Former world number one tennis player Amélie Mauresmo, disabled sports athletes Jérôme Hamelin (rowing) and Guillaume Toucoullet (archery) as well as Anglo hip-hop world champion Brice Larrieu will be present. The latter, alias Skorpion, will perform a personal version.
