The financial situation of the state after Nipah and two floods was not bearable due to the impact of Covid. The health sector has suddenly reached a crisis that the state has never seen before. In January 2020, when a young woman who came to Thrissur from China tested positive for Covid-19 for the first time in India, the state took extreme caution. It is a confirmation that at least some bureaucratic and political coalitions have turned Covid-19 into a shortcut to line their own pockets, while being extremely cautious on the one hand.
